I’m a journalist.
Broadcast journalist, foreign affairs editor, public affairs anchor, and founder, Bilyonaryo News Channel and Singatala Center for Women.
I’ve been with Al Jazeera for almost 12 years. I am the correspondent of Al Jazeera English in the Philippines and I also do work in the region. I’m also the President of the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines.
And I co-founded an NGO a few years ago, called Sinagtala Center for Women and Children in Conflict. Sinagtala means star light.
They include Jamela Alindogan, Fr. Albert Al- lejo, SJ, Arjun Appadurai, Clara Balaguer, Rick Baldoz, Tani Barlow, Rem- mon Barbaza, John Bengan, Karina.It’s an organization that aims to provide safe spaces for women and children in conflict zones.
What inspires you to get up in the morning? What drives you?
My child. You know, I’ve been a journalist for a long time.
I was doing television already in 2002. I started as a sports reporter. I guess what inspires you to get up in the morning changes as you get older.
