He was born with the name Christopher Emmanuel Paul on 6th May 1985 under the parenthood of Charles Edward Paul and Robin Jones in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA.
Charles Paul is his older brother and his only sibling. Their father, a former athlete, taught Chris and Charles football and basketball. He went to ‘West Forsyth High School,’ where he was a standout basketball player. Paul also worked part-time at a service station owned by his grandfather, with whom he had a very strong relationship.
