About Your Library
The Plant City Woman’s Club founded their volunteer community library in This project continued until when the residents of the City voted to fund a public library through their taxes.
Entrepreneurial owner-managers can have the skills and incentives to pursue strategic innovations; but as a new venture, little control may have been exercised.
A small library was built by the City, staff was hired, and the library became a City department. In , the Library was expanded, remodeled, and renamed in honor of Quintilla Geer Bruton and Judge James D. Bruton, Jr. The 20,square-foot facility currently houses:
- A collection of approximately 55, physical materials
- Over 20 computers and laptops for patron use
- Interactive educational toys in the children’s area
- The Mary Noel Moody community meeting room
- Several study rooms
- Billy’s Garden Space, a screened-in porch
- The Imagination Garden, a pocket garden located behind the building
